Adoption Fundraising Information

   ** An FSP is a special fund set up through Reece’s Rainbow ( a 501c3 charity) that families can utilize to safely save funds for their adoption process. Individuals & businesses may make direct donations to these accounts and receive a tax deductible credit in return. These funds CANNOT be accessed or used by the family until we have submitted a dossier to the country we are adopting from and have been issued travel dates by that country. This way any donor can be sure that their hard earn dollars are used for the intended purpose.

     If you are new to the adoption fundraising world let me explain how fundraising is utilized to achieve our goal of getting our girl home. We think of fundraising in two separate parts, “STATESIDE” and “IN-COUNTRY”. During the stateside portion of fundraising we will be offering items, services or donations given as direct payments to our personal paypal account or through Kya’s Promise as a sale. This way we may utilize the money collected from these offers to pay for fees needed in the immediate future (1-2 months away).

    If we know that we can cover that current fee out-of-pocket, we may then start offering items in exchange for donations to be made to our FSP, in order to save for future use during the travel portion of the adoption.

    If we are selling a good or service, a donation to the FSP is not always an option as we do have expenses involved (like shipping & materials) but if you want to contribute to the adoption without any incentive gift then a direct donation to the our FSP is ALWAYS appreciated. CURRENT NEED – $875

      Our most immediate needs for funds are related to all the application fees sent to the various organizations we will work with for the next year. These fees just get our place held and start to moving the process along. We have $1,300 available cash funds and by Friday of next week (5/28) we have to write checks totaling $2,175, so this means our immediate need is roughly $875. Here’s how it breaks down.

Next Week:

Home study application fee – $150 now  – ($1350 later)

CCAI application fee – $250 now – ($3250 later in two smaller installments)

HHA stateside fees – $1500 now

RR FSP application & Set-up fee – $275

Coming Up Soon:

State of Idaho Background checks  – $130 

Matt Walsh Background checks – $50

Medical Exam/labs Co-pays – $400

     Everything is fairly inexpensive but it does nickel and dimes away your saved funds very quickly. If anyone would like to contribute to our immediate need you may send funds directly to our personal PayPal account here…
